		Pheasant Hunting Pheasant hunting is probably the most fun. When you step close to a pheasant and it jumps up the quick fluttering wings practically scare you too death. It is part of what makes it fun. The other fun thing about pheasant hunting is that you get to work with the dog. Rather than sitting in a blind, you can be walking around and following the dog. It is anybodies guess where to go. Part of the fun is to think about what kind of cover the birds like and how to go about finding the perfect habitat. Pheasant hunting is quick draw sport. You never know when the bird will fly up and you have little time to react. The quick draw nature of the sport makes it more fun. Pheasants are some of the most beautiful birds. You can make things with the feathers. One popular thing to make is to take a rifle shell and attach it to one of the longest tail feathers. Then, you can throw the weighted feather up in the air and it is surprising just how far up it will go. Children love to throw the feather up and down for hours.
