Bird Hunting Socks

I like to have a good pair of wool socks for cold weather hunting. The reason is that if you feet do get wet, the wool will keep them warmer than cotton or other materials.

There are Goretex socks that are guaranteed to keep your feet dry and that may be a good option as well. If you are going to layer your socks, how about a pair of Goretex socks and a pair of wool socks.

One thing about socks is to not get them too thick. Sometimes when layering socks it is uncomfortable when it gets too bulky. Instead, look for warm socks that are lightweight.

You might also consider a pair of heated insoles. You might keep a pair on your vehicle just in case you need them. Heated insoles only cost a couple of dollars and will last around 5 hours.
