Bird Hunting Information
Bird hunting is done by less than 10% of the population. The reason is that most people do not have access to land to hunt on or hunting dogs or hunting equipment. Those that have learned the fun of bird hunting are loyal the sport.
Bird hunting is really about one thing and that is relationships. There is the relationship between a man and his dog, a man and his friends, and a man and his gun. All of these relationships run deep and are meaningful. It is difficult to describe the feelings of a good hunt.
Duck hunting and pheasant hunting are two of the most popular bird hunts. There are so many kinds of ducks and their plumage is just beautiful. Duck hunting allows people to hunt on lakes, rivers, and mud puddles. One of the great joy of duck hunting is watching the birds come in to your decoys as you call them in.
Pheasant hunting is popular because it is so exhilarating. On take off, the wings of a pheasant beat so hard it nearly scares you out of your boots. You only have a second or two to make a good shot. The other fun thing about pheasant hunting is learning how to work the dogs through the brush. A good dog loves the hunt so much that it makes if more fun for the owners. Just make sure the dog is trained well so that your hunt is enjoyable.
